My name is Kirstin Russow (formerly Yenney) and I will be working with the students whose last names begin with G-N. I am a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University… Go Rams! I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Special Education and my Master’s Degree in Counselor Education.
I grew up in Henrico and love exploring the history and culture of Virginia. My husband, Derek, and I just got married in April. In my free time we enjoy traveling, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants. My family includes my brother, Kyle, who is a sophomore at VCU, my step-sister, Brennan, who lives in Florida, and my step-brother, Ryan, who is a freshman at JMU. I also am very passionate about volunteering with Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp for children and adolescents.
I look forward to working with all of my students and families. I love working with students as they discover what they want to do after high school and helping them set goals to achieve their dreams. Parents and guardians, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. My office hours are 7:20 AM to 3:00 PM and I can be reached most easily by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and can also be reached at (804)966-9692.
