Kirstin Russow

Hello All!

My name is Kirstin Russow (formerly Yenney) and I will be working with the students whose last names begin with G-N.  I am a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University… Go Rams!  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Special Education and my Master’s Degree in Counselor Education.

I grew up in Henrico and love exploring the history and culture of Virginia.  My husband, Derek, and I just got married in April.  In our free time we enjoy traveling, going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and taking our rescue dog, Biscuit, to parks.  My family also includes my brother, Kyle, who attends Virginia Commonwealth University, my step-sister, Brennan, who lives in Florida, and my step-brother, Ryan, who attends James Madison University.  I also am very passionate about volunteering with Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp for children and adolescents.

I look forward to working with all of my students and families.  I love assisting students as they discover what they want to do after high school and helping them set goals to achieve their dreams.  Parents and guardians, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.  My office hours are 7:20 AM to 3:00 PM and I can be reached most easily by email at krussow@nkcps.k12.va.us and can also be reached at (804)966-9692.
